Can I use insurance to pay for therapy visits?
Yes, NeuroHope accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans.
Can I use insurance at another facility and insurance at NeuroHope at the same time?
No. If you are currently using insurance for physical, occupational or speech therapy at another outpatient facility or for home health, you must be discharged before using insurance at NeuroHope.
Can I self-pay for a treatment session at NeuroHope?
Yes! If your insurance has run out, or if you would like to use insurance at another outpatient facility, you can self-pay for 60-minute sessions at NeuroHope without billing insurance.
How much are self-pay sessions?
The initial evaluation is $100. Each 60-minute session is $75, no matter the intervention. Each personal training session (purely strength and conditioning) is $65 per hour.
Do self-pay sessions involve the same equipment and interventions?
Yes! However, the scope of care focuses more on strength and conditioning. Self-pay sessions are 60-minute appointments with Neuro Exercise Specialists, or Adaptive Exercise Specialists who work in collaboration with our therapy team and have training in neurologic principles and the utilization of our treadmills, harness systems, electrical stimulation protocols, and therapy pools.
What is the “Path to Independence” Wellness program?
This is our $50 monthly gym membership! Separate from individual therapy or self-pay sessions, the monthly membership includes open gym access to the adaptive fitness center and daily group cardio, strength, and stretch classes. Access to Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) cycling is also included.
If a patient becomes incontinent during a session, what assistance is available?
We do not employ nursing staff to assist with bathing or caregiving support. If a patient is at risk of incontinence, please ensure a caregiver remains on-site during treatment sessions and brings any needed supplies. There are multiple private bathrooms, changing areas, and showers in the building.
Does NeuroHope have a transportation service?
No. Please consult the resource list for transportation services.
Does NeuroHope have any support groups or community programs?
Yes! Our center is more than therapy and fitness. It is a community of friends, peers, caregivers, and mentors. There is an activity and support group that meets at 12:00 PM on the First Friday of every month. This group features rotating topics of activities, speakers, and events. A caregiver support group also meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These groups meet in the DRIVEN Community Room at the rear of the building.
